Setting Up Voicemail (Including Polly AI Voicemail)

Every Parrot Mobile plan with talk minutes includes carrier voicemail, which you use from your phone's Phone app. You can also upgrade for free to Polly voicemail, which transcribes and summarizes every message. Turn it on from the line's Voicemail tab with Activate Polly voicemail, then dial one code on your phone to forward missed calls to Polly.

Carrier voicemail (included)

Carrier voicemail is on for every line by default.

• Listen: open your phone's Phone app and tap Voicemail, or press and hold 1 on the dial pad.
• Greeting, PIN, and language: see Managing Your Voicemail.

Polly voicemail (free upgrade)

Polly answers when you can't, then writes the message down for you:

• Transcription: read a voicemail instead of listening to it.
• Summaries: get the point in a sentence.
• Anywhere access: on your phone or your computer, plus optional email notifications.

Turn on Polly

1. Sign in at app.parrotmobile.com and pick the line from the line switcher at the top.
2. Open the line's Voicemail tab and click Activate Polly voicemail.
3. In Set Up Polly Voicemail, forward unanswered calls to Polly using one of these:
   • Quickest: on the phone with this line, dial **004*12137727768# and press call. On a computer, show the QR code and scan it with your phone to dial it.
   • iPhone: Settings > Apps > Phone > Call Forwarding, then set unanswered-call forwarding to +1 213-772-7768.
   • Android: Phone app > three-dot menu > Settings > Call forwarding (or Supplementary services), then set Forward When Unanswered (or Busy, No Reply, and Unreachable) to +1 213-772-7768.
4. Click Confirm. You'll see Polly Voicemail Activated!

Read and listen to messages

New messages appear on the line's Voicemail tab. Tap a message to play it and read the transcript and summary.

Change your greeting and notifications

1. On the Voicemail tab, click the settings (gear) button to open Voicemail settings.
2. Under Voicemail Greeting, choose the default greeting, your recorded name, or a custom greeting you upload, record, or type.
3. Under Notification Emails, add up to 10 addresses to get new messages by email.
4. Click Save settings.

Turn off Polly

1. Open Voicemail settings and click Deactivate Polly Voicemail.
2. Dial ##004# from the phone with this line to remove the forwarding (or turn off call forwarding in your phone's settings).
3. Click Confirm. Unanswered calls go back to carrier voicemail.

Troubleshooting

• Callers still reach the old voicemail: dial **004*12137727768# again from the phone with this line, and check call forwarding in your phone's settings.
• Calls ring briefly then go to voicemail: that's call forwarding working. Check your phone isn't on Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode.
• No voicemail at all: make sure Voicemail is on under More > Line settings > Line features, and that your plan includes talk minutes.
