Setting Up Voicemail (Including Polly AI Voicemail)

Modified on Sun, 19 Apr at 12:33 AM

Every Parrot Mobile plan includes voicemail. You can stick with traditional visual voicemail in your phone's Phone app, or upgrade for free to Polly AI Voicemail to get transcripts and AI-generated summaries.

Traditional Visual Voicemail

Visual voicemail is enabled on every line by default. To use it:

  1. Open the Phone app on your iPhone or Android device.

  2. Tap the Voicemail tab (iPhone) or Voicemail option in the menu (Android).

  3. Tap any message to play, save, or delete it.

You can also dial *86 (or your phone's voicemail shortcut) to call into voicemail directly.

If the Voicemail toggle has been turned off on your line, callers won't be able to leave a message. You can turn it back on in your dashboard at https://www.parrotmobile.com/app under your line's Settings > Features.

Upgrading to Polly AI Voicemail (Free)

Polly is our AI-powered voicemail upgrade. It's included free with every Parrot Mobile plan and adds:

  • AI-powered transcription — read your voicemails as text

  • Smart summaries — get the key points at a glance

  • Access anywhere — view voicemails from your phone or your dashboard on the web

How to Activate Polly

  1. Sign in at https://www.parrotmobile.com/app.

  2. Open the line you want Polly on, then go to the Voicemail tab.

  3. Click Activate Polly Voicemail and follow the setup steps.

  4. Once activated, callers who reach voicemail will be answered by your Polly box and you'll see new messages (with transcripts and summaries) right in the dashboard.

Listening to Polly Voicemails

  • Open the line in your dashboard and tap any message in the Voicemail tab to play it, read the transcript, or read the summary.

  • You can still call your voicemail from the dial pad if you prefer audio playback on your phone.

Turning Polly Off

If you ever want to go back to traditional visual voicemail, open the Voicemail tab on the line and choose Disconnect Polly Voicemail. Your line will fall back to standard voicemail right away.

If you have trouble activating Polly or callers say their messages aren't being received, email us at support@parrotmobile.com with the line's phone number.
