Parrot Mobile works with most carrier-unlocked 4G LTE and 5G phones, including recent iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, Motorola, and OnePlus models. To check yours, dial *#06# to get its IMEI, then enter it on our Bring Your Own Phone page and click Check Phone.
Check your phone
- Find your IMEI (a 15-digit number):
- Dial *#06# on the phone, like making a call.
- iPhone: Settings > General > About, scroll to IMEI. With two SIMs, use the first IMEI listed.
- Android: Settings > About phone, then IMEI (on some phones under Status).
- It's also printed on the phone's box.
- Go to the Bring Your Own Phone page, enter the IMEI, and click Check Phone.
- If you see Your device is compatible!, click Browse Plans to get started.
If you see Device not found, check the number for typos and try again. If it still fails, contact support with your phone's make and model.
What your phone needs
- Carrier unlocked. A phone locked to another carrier won't connect. Ask that carrier to unlock it before you switch.
- 4G LTE or 5G support. We support 4G LTE, 5G non-standalone (NSA), and 5G standalone (SA) on compatible phones. 3G-only phones don't work.
- VoLTE (HD Voice) for calls. Most phones from the last several years support it.
- Not reported lost or stolen. A blocked IMEI can't connect to the network.
eSIM or physical SIM
Most recent iPhones and many Android phones support eSIM, which you can install in minutes. Other phones use a physical SIM from our SIM Card Kit. See Physical SIM vs eSIM: What's the Difference?
Tablets and hotspot devices
Many unlocked cellular tablets and hotspot devices work on a data-only plan. Check the IMEI first, the same way as a phone.
Is my phone unlocked?
- iPhone: Settings > General > About. Carrier Lock should say No SIM restrictions.
- Android: ask your previous carrier, or try another carrier's SIM. If it works, the phone is unlocked.
Carriers usually unlock phones once they're paid off and the account is in good standing.
