Understanding Your Bill

Modified on Wed, 23 Sep at 12:37 AM

Each Parrot Mobile bill covers one line and lists the plan charge, any discounts or credits, and the taxes and government fees for that line. View or download any bill from the line's Billing tab, or see all your lines' bills under More > Account billing > Invoices.

Find and download a bill

  1. Sign in at app.parrotmobile.com and pick the line from the line switcher at the top.
  2. Open the line's Billing tab.
  3. Open bills are under Bills to pay, and past bills are under Billing history.
  4. Click View to see the details, or Download for a PDF.

To see every line's bills in one list, open More (top bar on a computer, bottom bar on a phone) and choose Account billing, then scroll to Invoices.

What's on a bill

  • Plan: the price of the line's plan for the billing period. For a multi-month term, this covers the whole term.
  • Term savings: the discount for prepaying a multi-month term, for example "12-month term savings (10% off)".
  • Discounts: promo codes or special offers applied to the line.
  • Credits: account credit from referral rewards or promotions, applied automatically. On a plan upgrade, the unused value of your old plan appears as a credit too.
  • Taxes and fees: government taxes and telecom fees, such as sales tax, 911 fees, and the Federal Universal Service Fund. These are calculated for your address and change from place to place.
  • One-time items: for example an eSIM replacement ($3.00), a top-up, or calling credit.

Why the total is more than the plan price

Plan prices do not include taxes and government fees. The exact amount depends on the address on your account, which is why two people on the same plan can pay slightly different totals. Taxes for a multi-month term are charged up front on the full amount.

To check or update the address used for your bills, go to More > Settings > Profile > Your address. See Updating Your Account Email, Name, and Mailing Address.

Bill status meanings

  • Pending: created and waiting for payment. With Auto-pay on, we charge it automatically.
  • Paid: payment received.
  • Overdue or Failed: the payment did not go through. Pay it soon to avoid suspension. See Failed Payments, Past Due Lines, and Reactivating.
  • Refunded or Partially refunded: some or all of the payment was returned to your card.
  • Voided: the bill was cancelled and you do not owe it.

Why did I get more than one bill?

  • You have more than one line. Each line gets its own bill on its own renewal date.
  • You bought something during the month. Top-ups, calling credit, plan upgrades, and eSIM replacements each create their own bill when you buy them.
