Setting Up Your SIM or eSIM

Whether you’re setting up a physical SIM card or an eSIM, getting started with Parrot Mobile is easy. By following the steps below, you’ll be able to activate and connect your service.


Physical SIM Card Setup

During the checkout process, you can place an order for a physical SIM card that will be mailed to you.

You’ll receive a 3-in-1 SIM in your SIM kit, which includes Nano, Micro, and Standard sizes that can fit most phone models.

After you receive your SIM kit, you can follow the steps below to complete your activation.

  1. After selecting the correct size SIM card for your device, insert it into it.

  2. Go to the Parrot Mobile Phone Activation page.

  3. Enter the activation code found on the packaging of your SIM card.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete activation.

eSIM Setup

You don’t have to wait for a physical SIM card if you choose eSIM at checkout. When your eSIM is ready, we’ll email you a one-tap Install eSIM link and a QR code. You can also find both anytime in your account under your line’s Settings - see “Find and Install Your eSIM From Your Account”.

Fastest way: one-tap install

Open the activation email on the phone you want to use and tap Install eSIM. On iPhone (iOS 17.4+) and supported Android phones this hands the eSIM straight to your system settings - no QR scanning needed. If you’re on a different device, use the QR code steps below instead.

Steps for iOS Devices:

  1. Open Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM.

  2. Choose Use QR Code, then scan the code from your email.

  3. Follow the prompts to complete the setup and activate the service.

Steps for Android Devices:

  1. Open Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs (this may vary by phone).

  2. Tap Add SIM > Download a SIM instead.

  3. Scan the QR code sent via email.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish the setup.

If activation doesn’t complete

If your line doesn’t activate within about 20 minutes, walk through Activating Your Service (and What to Do If It Doesn’t Work). The most common fixes are restarting your phone, toggling Airplane Mode, and checking your APN values - see APN Settings for Android and iPhone.
