You can replace your SIM yourself under More > Line settings > SIM > Replace SIM. A replacement eSIM costs $3.00 and arrives by email in minutes. A replacement physical SIM uses a SIM kit you already have. Your number, plan, and renewal date stay the same, but your old SIM stops working immediately.
When to replace your SIM
- You lost or damaged your physical SIM.
- You got a new phone and can't move your current SIM or eSIM to it.
- You want to switch from a physical SIM to an eSIM, or the other way around.
- You deleted your eSIM from your phone.
- A new eSIM never activated, and the steps in Activating Your Service (and What to Do If It Doesn't Work) didn't fix it.
You may not need a replacement
Moving a physical SIM to a new phone? Just move the card. New eSIM that's still showing the install option? Install it from More > Line settings > SIM instead. See Switching Phones - Moving Your SIM or eSIM to a New Device.
Replace with an eSIM
- Sign in at app.parrotmobile.com and pick the line from the line switcher at the top.
- Open More (top bar on a computer, bottom bar on a phone) > Line settings > SIM.
- Under Replace SIM, click Start replacement.
- Choose Replace with eSIM.
- Review the Payment summary ($3.00 plus any tax) and pick a card under Payment method.
- Check the box confirming your old SIM will stop working, then click Replace SIM.
- When you see SIM replacement successful, check your email for the QR code and install steps. You can also install it from More > Line settings > SIM. See Setting Up Your SIM or eSIM.
Delete the old Parrot Mobile eSIM from your phone before adding the new one. iPhone: Settings > Cellular, tap the old line, then Delete eSIM. Android: Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs, tap the old SIM, then Delete or Erase.
Replace with a physical SIM
You need a Parrot Mobile SIM kit in hand first. If you don't have one, order it from our SIM Card Kit page (sold on Amazon).
- Go to More > Line settings > SIM and click Start replacement.
- Choose Replace with physical SIM.
- Under Enter SIM activation code or ICCID, type the 18 to 22 digit ICCID printed on the SIM card, then click Verify.
- When it says ICCID verified and available, check the confirmation box and click Replace SIM.
- Power off your phone, insert the new SIM, and power it back on.
If you see That SIM is not available, double-check the ICCID. A SIM that was already activated on another line can't be reused.
Your old SIM stops working right away
Replacement is instant and can't be undone. Your old SIM or eSIM is permanently deactivated the moment you click Replace SIM, so start only when you're ready to install the new one.
Limits
- You can order one replacement eSIM per line every 24 hours.
- The line must be active. If it's suspended, pay the open bill first. See Why Is My Line Suspended?
After replacing
- Your phone number, plan, remaining usage, and renewal date don't change.
- Make a test call, send a text, and load a web page with Wi-Fi off.
- If you use Wi-Fi calling, turn it back on in your phone's settings.
- No data? Check APN Settings for Android and iPhone.
- No service? See Fixing "No Service" or "SOS Only" on Your Phone.
Didn't get the eSIM email, or the replacement failed? Email support@parrotmobile.com with the line's phone number. Don't order a second replacement before checking your spam folder and the SIM page.
